Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist role based at Fitzrovia Hospital in London Central. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and external partners, greeting and directing them in a professional and welcoming manner. Daily tasks include:

The role also involves:

  • Coordinating with clinical and administrative teams
  • Handling check-in and check-out procedures
  • Processing basic payments or documentation
  • Keeping the reception area organized and presentable

The Receptionist is expected to provide clear information, protect confidentiality, and support a smooth patient journey throughout the hospital.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Competence with computer systems and office software (e.g., email, calendars, patient management systems), and ability to learn new digital tools quickly.
  • Customer service experience in a front-of-house, receptionist, or administrative role, ideally within healthcare or a similar service-focused environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time on-site in London Central, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Knowledge of basic administrative procedures, including record-keeping, confidentiality standards, and handling inquiries and complaints.
  • Relevant education or training in administration, customer service, or healthcare support is beneficial; prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is an advantage.
