Location: Sheffield, UK

Pay Rate: £15.00 – £20.00 per hour

Contract Duration: 4-Week Temporary Contract

Start Date: Immediate

Are you an experienced, customer-focused front-of-house professional looking for an immediate short-term contract? We are seeking a proactive Receptionist for a 4-week temporary placement to support our day-to-day office operations and deliver exceptional service to colleagues and visitors.

The Role

Working alongside our permanent receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring front-of-house operations run smoothly. You will serve as the face of our business, covering lunch/break periods, managing incoming enquiries, and providing seamless administrative support across the site.

  • Reception & Visitor Experience: Greet all guests and visitors professionally, manage opening/closing reception procedures, notify internal hosts, and ensure a clean, welcoming front-of-house environment.
  • Meeting Room Management: Coordinate meeting room calendars, arrange catering/refreshments, and ensure rooms are reset promptly between bookings.
  • Administrative Support: Monitor and action shared inboxes, manage incoming and outgoing posts, and book courier services as needed.
  • Security & Facilities: Monitor guest access logs, issue visitor badges, and escalate security or facilities issues to the Office Manager or permanent receptionist.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Proven experience in a front-of-house reception, administrative, or corporate customer-facing role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) with confidence managing shared diaries and shared inboxes.
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to maintain composure during peak office hours.
