Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist role based at Viva Dental Studio in Hornchurch. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing appointment bookings, confirming and rescheduling visits, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role also involves handling patient check-in and check-out, processing payments, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Additional tasks include performing general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, managing correspondence, and keeping the reception area organized and presentable.

- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients and colleagues.
- Proficient phone etiquette and experience handling multi-line phone systems and inquiries.
- Experience with receptionist duties, including greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, and managing front desk operations.
- Clerical skills such as data entry, filing, record-keeping, and basic office administration.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Comfort using practice management or scheduling software; basic computer literacy (email, calendars, office applications).
- Previous experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare reception role is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain patient confidentiality in line with data protection and privacy standards.
