The Role
As one of our Receptionists, you'll be the first and last impression of Wotton House, providing a warm, friendly and professional welcome to every guest. You'll play a key role in ensuring every stay is seamless, creating memorable experiences from arrival through to departure while supporting the wider hotel team to deliver exceptional hospitality.
You'll
- Welcome guests with a warm, professional and genuine smile.
- Complete guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
- Respond to guest enquiries, requests and complaints with confidence and care.
- Handle reservations, telephone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts.
- Promote hotel facilities, dining experiences and local attractions to enhance each guest's stay.
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain high standards of presentation within Reception and the lobby areas.
- Ensure guest information is handled accurately and confidentially.
- Support the Front Office team with the smooth day-to-day operation of Reception.
- Deliver our luxury service standards while bringing the Wonderfully Wotton personality to every interaction.

We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Has previous customer service or hospitality experience (hotel experience is desirable but not essential).
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Can remain calm under pressure and solve problems confidently.
- Has excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Is confident using computer systems (Opera experience is preferred but full training will be provided).
- Enjoys working as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
- Has a flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Lives our Wonderfully Wotton values every day with a positive, can-do attitude.
