Founded by Bradford University graduates Mike Killpartrick and Brian Ellis, the practice first opened on George Street before moving to its current home on New Bond Street.

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Receptionist. In this role, you play a pivotal part in the patient journey from start to finish - making every person who walks through our doors feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.

This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, takes pride in delivering quality care, and thrives in a supportive, collaborative environment. You’ll have the time, tools, and encouragement to do your job to a high standard without feeling rushed or pressured.

As the face of our practice, your responsibilities will bridge patient care, daily administration, and smooth practice operations:

Patient Experience & Reception

  • First Impression: Warmly greeting patients, checking them in for appointments, and managing a welcoming waiting area.
  • Patient Triage: Listening to patient needs, answering queries, and triaging requests appropriately over the phone and in person.
  • Contact Lens Care: Handling contact lens orders, handing completed orders to patients, and managing stock/trial bank replenishment.

Practice Administration & Diary Management

  • Diary Coordination: Managing the daily appointment diary, tracking arrivals, handling fail-to-attends, and scheduling future appointments.
  • Clinic Prep & Admin: Preparing clinics for the day, processing payments, checking and responding to practice emails, and maintaining strict GDPR compliance.
  • NHS & Recalls: Ensuring all NHS documentation is accurate and managing daily patient recall routines.
  • Environment: Keeping the shop floor, spectacle displays, and reception area immaculate, organised, and inviting.

Additional Information:

  • This role is ideal for someone with previous customer service experience
  • We have 2 consulting rooms
  • We are a team of 10
  • This role requires you to work five days a week, including Saturdays
