As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering a warm, genuine, and professional welcome that reflects the Meliá brand. You will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences, ensuring smooth front desk operations, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar receptionist or front office role
  • Knowledge of OPERA PMS
  • Fluency in English (additional Spanish language skills are an advantage)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A professional, positive, and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out procedures in a professional, friendly, and informative manner, addressing guests by name whenever possible
  • Project a helpful, enthusiastic, and service-oriented attitude, anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations wherever possible
  • Maintain full awareness of daily availability and actively promote up-selling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise occupancy and revenue
  • Accurately present and process guest accounts, including company and agency billing, ensuring correct documentation and invoices are provided
  • Ensure all guest registration cards are completed accurately and filed correctly, maintaining up-to-date contact details
  • Observe and comply with all security, health & safety, and emergency procedures
  • Act responsibly and confidently during emergency situations in line with hotel policies
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with relevant legislation and company standards
  • Support the wider front office team and undertake any additional reasonable duties as required by management
