Premier Foods is looking for a professional, friendly, and highly organized permanent Receptionist to provide part-time, reception assistance at our St Albans Head Office. Ideal hours will be Wednesday 8 - 5, Thursday 8 - 5, and Friday 8 - 4.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the face of an organization and takes pride in delivering a warm, polished, and efficient front-of-house service. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive first impression for visitors, contractors, and colleagues alike.
What you'll be doing?
Covering the reception on a part-time basis, you’ll support the Facilities team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the front desk. Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering and directing inbound calls via the switchboard
- Meeting and greeting visitors, offering refreshments, and notifying hosts of arrivals
- Ensuring reception is clean, professional, and welcoming at all times
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing post and courier services
- Booking taxis with preferred suppliers and maintaining booking logs
- Supporting Health & Safety requirements for visitors and contractors
- Raising purchase orders and processing invoices (taxis, couriers, stationery)
- Supporting Facilities with site information and general administration
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to improve ways of working

What we need from you?
We’re keen to hear from candidates who can bring confidence, adaptability, and attention to detail to this flexible role. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience in a busy reception or switchboard environment
- A professional, friendly, and personable approach, with confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- Strong organization skills and the ability to adapt quickly when priorities change
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when using systems
- Good IT skills and experience using multiple computer systems
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
