Receptionist
Location: Bisham Abbey, Marlow, SL7 1RR
Salary: £12.71 per hour annum plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Part time hours 30 hours per week, or 15 hours per week as a job share flexible to cover various shift patterns including Monday to Sunday. Early shift Monday to Friday: 6:00am to 2:30pm. Late shift Monday to Friday: 12:30pm to 9:00pm. Early shift Saturday to Sunday: 7:00am to 1:00pm. Late shift Saturday to Sunday: 1:00pm to 7:00pm.

As a Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face of the centre, helping customers, visitors and partners enjoy a positive experience from the moment they arrive. You’ll deliver excellent customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the facility and ensuring every interaction reflects values of trust, care and pride.
Your work has purpose. By creating a welcoming environment and supporting high-quality service delivery, you’ll help create a positive impact on communities, encourage participation in health and wellbeing activities, and contribute to a better future for everyone who uses the centre.

What You’ll Do as a Receptionist
- Welcome visitors, customers and guests, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
- Answer and direct telephone and email enquiries promptly and accurately.
- Take bookings, process payments and support customers throughout their journey.
- Promote centre services, facilities and special offers to help grow participation and engagement.
- Support the operation of centre facilities, including customer sign-in processes, room setup support and daily checks where required.
- Carry out administrative tasks and work closely with colleagues, event organisers and other teams to ensure services run smoothly.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Friendly, approachable and committed to helping customers and colleagues.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with good attention to detail.
- Able to use initiative, solve problems and remain calm when dealing with enquiries or unexpected situations.
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a varied shift pattern including weekends and bank holidays.
