Receptionist – Potters Resorts Five Lakes
This role is based at Potters Resorts Five Lakes, Maldon, Essex, CM9 8HX.
Potters Resorts Five Lakes is the UK’s only fully inclusive resort, offering exceptional hospitality, dining, entertainment and activities—all in one beautiful Essex location.
We’re looking for a friendly, confident and customer-focused Receptionist to join our busy Front of House team. As one of the first people our guests meet, you’ll play an important part in creating a warm welcome and ensuring they enjoy an unforgettable stay.

Job Description
As part of our Reception team, you will:
- Provide every guest with a warm, friendly and professional welcome
- Assist guests with questions and requests throughout their stay
- Handle check-ins, check-outs and general reception enquiries efficiently
- Answer telephone calls and respond to queries in a helpful and professional manner
- Share information about our resort, facilities, activities and entertainment
- Resolve guest concerns calmly and confidently, involving the appropriate team when required
- Keep the reception area clean, organised and presentable at all times
- Complete administrative duties accurately and efficiently
- Build positive working relationships across the resort and support your colleagues as part of one team

Hours of Work
- 32 hours per week, working four days out of seven
- Weekend and bank holiday working required
- Straight shifts—no split shifts
- Reception operates between 8am and 10pm, so flexibility across these hours is essential
Rates of Pay
- £13.29 per hour / £22,114 per annum
- An immediate start may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous customer service experience, ideally within hospitality
- Confident face-to-face customer service and communication skills
- A friendly, approachable and professional manner
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm and helpful in a busy environment
- A positive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
- Good computer and administrative skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
