1 Month Contract with a Local Authority
Umbrella - £18.29 per hour - Umbrella
Job Purpose
As a Receptionist, you will provide front-of-house, reception, clerical and administrative support, ensuring visitors, customers and staff receive a professional and efficient service while supporting the day-to-day operation of the office.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Undertake reception and greeting duties.
- Answer telephone and face-to-face enquiries.
- Provide clerical and administrative support.
- Photocopy, file, email and complete routine documentation.
- Maintain manual and electronic records.
- Carry out word processing and data entry tasks.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Organise meetings, room bookings and travel arrangements.
- Assist with stationery stock control and office supplies.
- Attend meetings when required.
- Provide cover for colleagues during absences.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Support the wider administrative team as required.

Essential Experience Required
- Previous Reception, Customer Service or Administrative experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience maintaining records and databases.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
- Professional and courteous approach.
- Experience dealing with confidential information.

Additional Information to Note
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
- Ruthin, Denbighshire, LL15 1YN.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) desirable.
- Experience within Local Government desirable.
- On-site Interview.
- Interview Date: 15th October 2026.
- 3 Years References required.
- Supplier Submission Deadline: 9th October 2026.
- We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
