Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch: Receptionist (Pre-Opening)

Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch is seeking an experienced Receptionist to join its pre-opening team for this highly anticipated luxury hotel, set to open later this year.

The Property: A New London Landmark

Perched at the end of The Mall and overlooking Buckingham Palace, this 10-storey royal gem will feature:

  • 100 elegant rooms and suites
  • 17,500 sqft of private residences
  • Two Michelin-starred restaurants – Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud
  • A world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and iconic event spaces, including a grand ballroom seating 320 guests

About the Role

Responsibilities

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Guest Relations – First impression champion; ensuring seamless arrivals, check-ins, and departures with exceptional warmth and professionalism.
  • Reservations Support – Managing inquiries over phone, email, and walk-ins within the Waldorf Astoria guest service standards.
  • Pre-Opening Preparation – Assisting in the setup, training, and pre-opening logistics to ensure a flawless launch.
  • Multi-Tasking Efficiency – Juggling multiple tasks with composure while maintaining unwavering attention to detail.
  • _total – A commitment to Teambuilding, affiliate support, and participation in team collaborations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in luxury hotel reception (Waldorf Astoria or comparable 5-star brands preferred).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with fluency in English (other languages are a plus).
  • Passion for service excellence – Demonstrated ability to deliver 5-star hospitality with authenticity.
  • Honesty, dedication, and emotional intelligence to thrive in a pre-opening environment.
  • Proficiency in PMS (Property Management System) and understanding of operational workflows (training provided for new systems).
  • Flexibility to accommodate pre-opening busy hours and readiness to grow within the hotel upon launch.
