We are supporting a highly regarded investment firm in the appointment of a Receptionist to join their London office.
This is a true front-of-house role for someone who takes real pride in creating an exceptional first impression. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit reception and administration team and will play a key role in welcoming senior visitors, investors and stakeholders to the firm. - Ensuring the reception area is consistently organised, welcoming and representative of the firm
- Answering and directing incoming calls
- Coordinating meeting room bookings, resolving diary clashes and arranging AV set-up
- Working closely with the wider administration team to coordinate meetings and ensure rooms are prepared
- Arranging refreshments in conjunction with the catering team
- Managing incoming and outgoing post, couriers and deliveries
- Supporting office management tasks, including stationery ordering and stock control

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
