Front of House Receptionist
This is a front of house role working as part of a team of three receptionists, providing a boutique-style reception service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of reception and office operations.
Responsibilities
- Managing incoming and outgoing post
- Managing HMRC tax post
- Setting up and maintaining meeting rooms
- Handling calls
- Delivering a professional, welcoming experience for clients and visitors
Requirements
- A polished, professional and friendly approach with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail
- Dependability is essential as the reception function plays a critical role in the firm’s daily operations
- This role would suit a reliable, organised individual with prior corporate reception experience who enjoys working in a busy, structured environment
- The position is office based and requires attendance in the office five days a week

What will the role entail?
Responsibilities
- First point of contact for all visitors and colleagues.
- Management of meeting rooms, smart desk and visitor booking systems.
- Screening calls, directing enquiries, call handling.
- Managing door access fob system.
- Receipt and redirection of post, scanning and data management.
- Responsible for stationery and office consumables.
- Archiving, document management, printing.
- Assisting HR with new starters.
- Assisting Marketing team with events (ad-hoc).
- Assisting with facility issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a corporate reception or front-of-house role, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive correspondence and documentation, including HMRC post and HR paperwork.
- A polished, professional manner, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, visitors and colleagues.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced front of house environment, able to think on their feet and remain calm and professional when handling unexpected situations.
- Strong reliability and punctuality with a consistent approach to attendance and timekeeping.
- Flexible attitude, with ability to prioritise workloads.
- Good organisation skills with the ability to forward plan.
- Positive, team focused attitude and willingness to step in and help across the whole admin team.
- Must be willing to undertake training to become a First Aider and Fire Warden to support the firm’s health and safety obligations.
- Comfortable working full time in the office, five days a week.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
