Receptionist vacancy in Wiltshire

Receptionist

Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is looking for a Receptionist to join our friendly Front of House team at our luxury 4-star hotel in the heart of the Bowood Estate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional and supportive team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Previous hotel experience is welcome but not essential — we would also love to hear from candidates with experience in retail, leisure, customer service, or other people-focused roles.

As one of the first points of contact for our guests, you will play an important role in creating a warm welcome and memorable experience from arrival to departure.

The Role

Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you will assist in the day-to-day running of reception, maintaining the highest standards of service.

This is a permanent, full-time position. Working 40 hours a week on a rota basis Monday to Sunday.

Shift pattern: 06.45-15.15 and 14.30-23.00.

Reliable transport is essential due to location and shift times. This is an ideal commute for those in Calne, Chippenham, Bath, Devizes, Swindon, and surrounding areas.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
