Job Title: Receptionist (Contract - 10 Months)
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 pro rata, depending on experience
Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Friday plus flexible hours over weekends
Are you an experienced receptionist with a friendly and professional approach?
We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist in Harrogate. This is a varied, customer focused role where you will be responsible for providing a warm welcome to guests, managing check ins and check outs, handling enquiries and supporting the smooth running of the reception function.
The ideal candidate will have previous reception or hospitality experience and be confident dealing with guests both face to face and over the telephone. This role would suit someone looking for a part time opportunity with flexibility around working days and hours.

Key Responsibilities As Receptionist
- Welcome guests on arrival and provide a friendly, professional reception service
- Manage check ins, check outs and guest enquiries efficiently
- Answer telephone calls, respond to emails and forward messages appropriately
- Manage and update reservations, ensuring guest information is accurate
- Provide guests with information regarding local amenities, transport and hotel facilities
- Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready and any issues are dealt with promptly
- Deal with guest requests, queries and any issues in a professional and timely manner
What we're looking for as Receptionist:
- Previous experience within a hotel reception, hospitality or similar customer facing environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A warm, polite and approachable manner
- Confident dealing with guests both face to face and over the telephone
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- IT skills and confidence using office systems
- Experience using hotel property management or booking systems would be desirable
- Flexibility to work weekend hours
