The Role
As a Receptionist, you’ll be one of the first faces our guests see and the last they remember.
You’ll provide a warm, confident and professional welcome, making sure every stay runs smoothly from arrival to departure. Whether you’re checking in a wedding guest, recommending somewhere to explore locally or helping solve an unexpected problem, you’ll have the opportunity to make someone’s stay that little bit more special.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming guests and completing smooth check-ins and check-outs
- Responding to enquiries, requests and guest feedback with confidence and care
- Handling calls, emails, reservations and payments accurately
- Sharing your knowledge of the hotel, dining experiences and local area
- Working closely with other departments to create a seamless guest experience
- Keeping Reception welcoming, organised and beautifully presented
- Bringing our Wonderfully Wotton personality and service standards to every interaction

Could This Be You?
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, confident and genuinely enjoys helping people.
You’ll have great communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and confident when things get busy. Previous hotel experience is essential, ideally within a Reception or Front Office environment. You’ll understand what it takes to deliver a fantastic guest experience and will bring a positive, proactive approach to every shift. Experience using Opera would be an advantage, although training on our systems will be provided.
You’ll also need to be comfortable working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
