Location: Penwortham Grange & Lodge Care Home - Martin Field Road, Penwortham, Preston, Lancashire, PR1 9HL
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Schedule/Hours: Full time
About The Role
As our Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring everyone who visits or contacts the home receives a positive first impression. You will manage the reception area, answer telephone enquiries, provide administrative support, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home.
Main Duties
- Welcoming residents, relatives, professionals, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Managing incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately.
- Supporting the Home Manager and Administrator with a variety of administrative tasks.
- Processing documentation and maintaining accurate records.
- Operating office equipment including computers, photocopiers, and other office systems.
- Helping to maintain a secure, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone in the home.
- Promoting the home's values and reputation through excellent customer service.

We’re Seeking Someone Who Is
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is friendly, confident, and professional.
- Has a positive and caring attitude.
- Possesses good IT, word processing, and numerical skills.
- Has a professional telephone manner.
- Enjoys working as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
- Has experience dealing with members of the public, ideally within a customer-facing role.
