The Company

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced receptionist or administrator who is immediately available and looking for a short-term opportunity within a professional office environment. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing a friendly, professional and efficient front-of-house service.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide reception and general administrative support, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, clients and colleagues.
  • Welcoming visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls.
  • Responding to general enquiries and directing queries to the appropriate team member.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
  • Maintaining a tidy, professional and welcoming reception area.
  • Managing meeting room bookings and assisting with meeting arrangements.
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support to the wider team.
  • Assisting with photocopying, scanning, filing and document preparation.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring information is handled appropriately.
  • Supporting the wider office team with ad hoc administrative duties as required.

The Person

Essential Criteria

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in a reception, front-of-house, administrative or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A friendly, professional and approachable manner.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Confidence dealing with telephone and face-to-face enquiries.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A professional approach to handling confidential information.
  • Availability to start immediately and commit to the full temporary assignment.
