Lambert Medical Centre Medical Receptionist
The Lambert Medical Centre is seeking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic, and hard-working Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive practice team.
The successful candidate will join the Reception Team and provide an exceptional standard of patient-facing service to our patients.
Main Duties
- Receiving incoming calls, ensuring all are answered promptly and courteously
- Booking patient appointments with various clinicians
- Patient-facing and greeting patients as they come into the surgery and dealing with queries/requests
- Performing care navigation to additional services supporting the practice
- Aiding patients and the practice team with a positive and friendly manner
- Contact patients when required and completing patient-related tasks
- Working within the team to ensure smooth running of the reception

We are looking for individuals who:
- Possesses a good standard of general education
- Understands the role of a General Practice
- Has experience of working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Is a team player but can also use own initiative
- Is computer literate and confident in the use of IT
- Has excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work to a high standard, whilst under pressure
- Has a positive 'can do' attitude and a desire to learn
- Is flexible and able to work extra/alternate shifts for holiday and sickness cover

Experience of working in General Practice is not essential as in-house training is provided.

This position is a permanent appointment with working days being between Monday - Friday and shift patterns between the hours of 8am – 6.30pm.
