Job Description
We are seeking a professional, friendly, and customer-focused Receptionist (Reception Host) for our team based at the Milton Keynes offices of a world renown bank.
As the first point of contact for everyone entering the building, you will play a key role in creating a positive and lasting impression by delivering a first-class front-of-house experience for the banks colleagues, clients, visitors, contractors, and members of the public.
Based within a ground-floor reception area that is accessible to the public, you will provide a welcoming, efficient, and professional reception service while ensuring every visitor receives an exceptional experience from arrival through to departure.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in hospitality, retail, leisure, customer service, or another people-focused environment who is looking to take their first step into a corporate workplace role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, professional, and engaging welcome to all visitors, colleagues, clients, and contractors.
- Act as the first point of contact for reception enquiries, providing accurate information and support.
- Manage visitor arrivals and departures, ensuring all access and security procedures are followed.
- Issue visitor passes and maintain visitor records.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and support visitors throughout their time on site.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, contractors, and service partners.
- Provide a seamless and efficient front-of-house experience at all times.
- Confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders and Board-level executives.
- Maintain the presentation and professionalism of the reception area.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a positive workplace and visitor experience.
- Respond proactively to enquiries, issues, and changing priorities throughout the day.

Hours: 40 hours per week, shifts between 7.30am-6pm, Mon-Fri.
Salary: £30,500
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
You may currently work in hospitality, retail, leisure, travel, customer service, or another customer-facing role and be looking to develop your career within a professional corporate environment.

- Previous experience in a corporate reception environment is not required. We are more interested in individuals with a strong customer service mindset, a willingness to learn, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
