Receptionist - Luxury Spa

Carden Park Hotel
Broxton Road, Chester, Cheshire, CH3 9DQ

Position: Spa Receptionist

Salary: £26,600 per annum plus service charge plus extensive benefits

Contract: Enjoy a full-time role of 40 hours per week, working a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.


About the Role

The Spa at Carden is looking for a personable and professional Spa Receptionist to join our award-winning, 5* luxury Spa team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll create a welcoming and memorable experience through exceptional service, genuine warmth, and attention to detail. If you have a passion for hospitality and love making people feel truly cared for, we would love to meet you.


Your Day With Team Carden

  • Welcoming all guests to the Spa with a warm, professional, and genuine welcome.
  • Checking guests in and ensuring they have everything they need for their visit.
  • Conducting a familiarisation tour of the spa facilities with the guests.
  • Processing payments accurately and efficiently for spa experiences, treatments, and products.
  • Responding to guest enquiries and meeting their requirements in a helpful, proactive, and professional manner.
  • Managing bookings, appointments, and guest requests, ensuring attention to detail at every stage.
  • Liaising with our Spa Therapists and wider Spa team to ensure the guest journey runs smoothly.
  • Recommending and upselling treatments, spa experiences, and retail products based on each guest’s individual needs.
  • Sharing your knowledge of our facilities, treatments, and products to help guests make the most of their experience.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of presentation and service across the Spa Reception area.
  • Creating opportunities to exceed guest expectations and ensure every visit is truly memorable.

About You

  • A warm, friendly, and professional personality with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence to upsell treatments, experiences, and retail products and handle payments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and organized in a busy environment.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking ownership of your responsibilities.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of our Spa offering.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hospitality, spa, hotel, or customer-facing environment is desirable but not essential.
