Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist role based at Banning Dental & Skin Clinique in Kingston Upon Thames. The Receptionist will be responsible for welcoming patients, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and ensuring a smooth, positive experience from arrival to departure.
Daily tasks include:
- Answering phone calls and emails
- Booking and updating appointments
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Handling payments and invoicing
- Coordinating with clinical and administrative teams
- Managing the reception area to uphold cleanliness and professionalism
- Supporting the implementation of practice policies and procedures
The Receptionist will contribute to a calm, friendly environment while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to high standards of customer service.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients and team members.
- Proficiency in basic administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, record-keeping, and handling payments and billing.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinical environment.
- Competence with common office software and practice management systems, and willingness to learn new digital tools.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow clinical and administrative procedures accurately.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, or customer-facing role, ideally in healthcare or a similar service-driven setting.
- Professional, calm, and approachable demeanor, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and service.
- Relevant qualifications or training in administration, customer service, or healthcare support are beneficial.
