Receptionist (23.25 Hours per Week)
Location: Lifton, Devon
Function: Manufacturing
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, professional and highly organised Receptionist to join our team in Lifton. As the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and callers, you will play a key role in creating a positive and professional experience while providing valuable administrative support across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied role, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and administrative support.
What You'll Be Doing
As Receptionist, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a professional front-of-house service for employees, visitors and contractors
- Answering, screening and directing telephone calls efficiently and confidentially
- Greeting visitors and ensuring all site sign-in procedures are followed correctly
- Supporting site administration activities including post management, record keeping and data entry
- Creating posters, notices and one-off documents to support site communications
- Coordinating the management of pool and hire vehicles, including arranging servicing, safety checks and valeting
- Ordering stationery and site supplies while managing stock levels and budgets
- Supporting the maintenance and servicing of shared office equipment such as photocopiers
- Raising purchase orders using SAP
- Assisting with the preparation and auditing of team brief documentation and site communications
- Supporting a positive health, safety and GMP culture across the site
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
- Providing cover for reception colleagues during holidays and absences
- Undertaking additional administrative duties as required

What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A professional, courteous and customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous switchboard or reception experience
- Experience using SAP
