RECEPTIONIST
PERMANENT CONTRACT
SALARY £28,392 per annum
40 hours per week with paid lunch breaks and overtime.
The role will include shift work including early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays with regular days off and no split shifts.
About Phyllis Court Club
Phyllis Court is a private members club situated in a grand riverside manor, set in 18 acres of land with 17 guest bedrooms on the River Thames in Henley-On-Thames and spectacular views over the river & the countryside beyond.
Phyllis Court has excellent facilities, superb cuisines and wines, relaxing riverside accommodation and friendly staff being the perfect setting to meet friends & colleagues, with the highlight of the year being Henley Regatta.
The Role
Reporting to the Front of House Manager and working as part of a small team you will be responsible for ensuring our members and guests receive a warm and friendly welcome to the club.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Deal with any queries from members or guests in an efficient & professional manner.
- Provide assistance over the phone or in person regarding bookings or events at the Club.
- Book guests or members into relevant events or for the restaurant.
- Filter calls to other departments within the Club.
- Checking guests in and out of their rooms, completing all checks as required.
- To be aware of the need to observe Health and Safety regulations and advise management of any irregularities.
- Provide reception cover in the Fitness Centre.

Skills And Experience
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Be a clear communicator and be able to demonstrate great teamwork.
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but full training will be given on the job.
- A good, logical approach to problem solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft office software.
- Good time management skills and the ability to multi-task, as well as the ability to work using your own initiative.
- The role is very hands on, so a can do, and proactive approach is essential and forms part of our ‘One Team’ ethos.
