We have an excellent permanent opportunity for a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our West Leicestershire Community Neighbourhood Mental Health Team within the directorate of Adult Mental Health.

About the Role

The Team provides comprehensive support to older adults with mental health problems and consists of nurses, medics, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists.

As an Administration Assistant for the West Leicestershire Team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administration service to a specific area of the mental health team. This includes supporting a clinical team by providing front-of-house cover to Main Reception, greeting a variety of people including other Health Service disciplines, patients, carers, relatives, and contractors. You will need to be quick-thinking yet operate within Trust Policies and guidelines.

There will be a requirement to cover both Mental Health sites in Hinckley as needed. Orchard Resource Centre is in Hill Street, Hinckley, and Hynca Lodge is on Tudor Road.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administration service to a specific area of the mental health team.
  • Support a clinical team by providing front-of-house cover to Main Reception.
  • Greet a variety of people including other Health Service disciplines, patients, carers, relatives, and contractors.
  • Operate within Trust Policies and guidelines.
  • Process referrals, data inputting, and support the wider teams as per service needs.
  • Other general administration duties.
  • Require good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, excellent IT skills, and be highly organised with good planning skills.
  • Include telephone and written correspondence with patients, Service Users, liaising with family members/carers, GPs and other primary care services, other external NHS services or partner agencies such as Social Care and the Police.

Requirements

  • Administration experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
