We have a fantastic opportunity for a Reconciliation Officer in our Cardiff office on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguarding funds held in trust for insurer and corporate clients
- Carefully reconciling bank accounts against underlying ledgers to ensure financial information is accurate and clearly presented
- Daily work involves close collaboration with internal teams, clients, and CRM colleagues to maintain steady communication and dependable service
- Strong analytical skills supporting the verification of accounts and operating data
- Discrepancies investigated and resolved promptly to protect client money and uphold financial controls
- Regular interaction with other departments helps maintain smooth information flow and ensures client needs are consistently met
- Audit activity includes preparing documentation, supporting the audit process, and contributing to post-audit reviews
- A commitment to continuous improvement is key, identifying opportunities to refine processes and enhance financial operations
- Additional duties may be allocated at the manager’s discretion, calling for a calm, methodical approach

Required Skills
- Protecting Client Funds: You understand why client money must be kept safe and take that responsibility seriously.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: You work carefully with data, spot errors quickly, and ensure reconciliations are correct.
- Problem-Solving and Improvement: You enjoy finding practical solutions, fixing issues, and helping to prevent them happening again.
- Accountability and Time Management: You take ownership of your work, manage deadlines well, and handle several tasks at once.
- Technical and Team Skills: You use Excel confidently, communicate well with others, and handle confidential information with care.
- Flexibility and Development: You are willing to support colleagues, take on extra tasks, and any bookkeeping or ATT qualification is a bonus.
