Interim Reconciliation Specialist | Greater Manchester | 6 month contract | Up to £400pd
We're working with an organisation undertaking a review of its purchasing and inventory processes and looking to appoint an Interim Reconciliation Specialist in Greater Manchester.
The business operates within a regulated environment where accurate stock management, purchasing controls and supplier reconciliation are critical. As part of a wider focus on strengthening financial governance and operational efficiency, the organisation is looking to improve the accuracy of inventory, purchasing and supplier data while reducing financial leakage and process inefficiencies.
This role has been created to provide greater visibility across purchasing, stock and supplier activity. Working closely with Finance, Procurement and Operational teams, you'll help identify discrepancies, improve reporting and implement stronger controls that support informed decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities
- Reconcile supplier invoices, purchase orders and goods received records, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Analyse inventory, purchasing and supplier data to identify trends, errors and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage credits and returns, ensuring financial recoveries are accurately tracked and recorded.
- Develop reporting and insight that enables better control of stock, purchasing and supplier performance.
- Drive process improvements that strengthen governance, improve accuracy and reduce financial leakage.
About You
- Previous experience within reconciliation, finance operations, procurement, inventory or supply chain analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse large datasets and present meaningful insights.
- Proven ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple departments.
- A highly analytical and detail-oriented approach, combined with a focus on continuous improvement.

This role is inside IR35 and will be paid via an Umbrella company.
