About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious Finance Professional to join a growing and established business in Manchester City Centre. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous finance experience who is looking to develop their career within a Record to Report environment. The role will focus heavily on bank reconciliations and cash posting, alongside exposure to intercompany accounting, billing, settlements, and wider finance processes. There will also be opportunities to get involved in process improvement, automation, and AI, helping to make the finance function more efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Post cash and investigate unreconciled transactions
- Resolve reconciliation queries and discrepancies
- Support month-end close
- Assist with intercompany accounting, billing, and settlements
- Maintain accurate finance processes and documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes
- Support the wider finance team with continuous improvement

About You
- Previous experience within a finance or accounting role
- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and cash posting
- Good Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
- Experience investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive approach to improving processes
- Experience with a reconciliation platform would be advantageous
- AAT, ACCA, or CIMA studies would be beneficial
