Join Cynergy Business Finance as a Reconciliation Executive and play an important role in supporting the businesses we fund.
What’s the opportunity?
This is an opportunity for an experienced Invoice Finance professional to take real ownership within our Operations team.
You’ll play an important role in supporting the effective management of our Invoice Finance portfolio, using your experience and judgement to maintain strong operational control, identify emerging risks and support positive outcomes for our clients.
Working closely with colleagues across CBF, you’ll have the autonomy to manage your responsibilities while contributing to the wider performance and quality of the portfolio.
Where You Will Work
You’ll be based in our Manchester office, with hybrid working of four days in the office and one day from home.

How You Will Make an Impact
- Take ownership of the month-end reconciliation process across your own portfolio of confidential and disclosed Invoice Finance clients.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring reconciliations are completed accurately and on time while appropriately prioritising higher-risk relationships.
- Monitor client ledger performance, identifying adverse trends and raising material concerns with the Relationship team.
- Review bank statements thoroughly, using your knowledge and judgement to identify areas requiring investigation or escalation.
- Ensure appropriate reserves are maintained in accordance with policy and clients remain compliant with relevant covenants.
- Contribute to Client Portfolio Review meetings where required, bringing insight and highlighting material concerns.
- Maintain thorough, accurate records and provide effective reporting and feedback to Relationship Managers and wider stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively across the Relationship team, maintaining a consistently high standard of client service.
- Remain vigilant to AML and financial crime risks and operate in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Develop your understanding of CBF and wider Cynergy Bank products and services, identifying opportunities to support customer needs where appropriate.

What You Will Bring
- Strong practical experience within Invoice Finance, with a solid understanding of reconciliations and associated risks.
- Strong practical knowledge of Invoice Finance, with the ability to understand client ledgers, reconciliations and associated risks.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail combined with the judgement to identify when something requires further investigation or escalation.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to communicate concerns clearly.
- A collaborative approach while being comfortable taking ownership of your own responsibilities.
- A commitment to delivering high standards of accuracy, control and client service.
