About The Role
Recovery Practitioner
Devizes | £44,373.07 per year | Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Are you a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner looking to develop your career in perioperative care? We're looking for a dedicated Recovery Practitioner to join our Theatre team, providing outstanding patient care throughout the surgical journey.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, caring for patients during the immediate post-operative period and helping to deliver safe, high-quality clinical outcomes in a fast-paced surgical environment.

What you'll be doing
As a Recovery Practitioner, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by:
- Monitoring and caring for patients following surgery and anaesthesia.
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care.
- Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Ensuring patients are safely prepared for discharge following recovery.
- Maintaining high clinical standards, patient safety, and infection prevention practices.
- Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the ongoing development of the department.
- Participating in clinical audits, governance activities, and quality improvement initiatives.

What we'll look for in you
To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Have
- Registered Nurse Level 1 (NMC) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within an acute clinical environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to prioritize workload and remain calm under pressure.
- A flexible, positive, and patient-focused approach.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
Desirable
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) qualification.
- Teaching, mentoring, or assessor qualifications.
- Experience within pre-assessment services
