Full-Time/Part-Time

We are looking to welcome a Support Worker to our dynamic team in Bradford, West Yorkshire, where we provide support to people with mental health support needs.

This is a temporary contract to cover a member of staff on maternity leave, expected to last 12 months from December 2026 – December 2027.

At full capacity, we provide support for 10 individuals who enjoy a range of weekly 1:1 and group activities, from takeaway evenings to group cooking and baking, movie nights, and arts and crafts. The role will involve visiting people in their own homes, as well as across 2 of our services in Bradford, which are a 2-minute walk from one another.

This is a varied and rewarding role, and you will provide support in the following ways:

  • Welfare checks for the people we support across 2 of our services
  • Carrying out safety checks and raising any concerns, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monthly key working sessions with the people we support, where you will set goals and help people work towards them.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate with other professionals & community mental health teams.
  • Offering practical and emotional support, assisting people to live a fulfilling and independent life.
  • Working in accordance with individual support plans, developing trusting relationships along the way.

The shift pattern at our services is 10:00am-20:30pm. Hours are to be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service, including every other weekend and some bank holidays. Lone working is a requirement of this role.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Mental Health or Health and Social Care qualifications
  • Experience working in a Mental Health Environment

Preferred:

  • Candidates with a clean, valid driving license and access to their own vehicle
