Recovery Team Leader Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Team Leader within the James Paget University Hospitals Theatre Department. This role involves providing strong leadership and support in collaboration with the Theatre Manager within the Post-Operative Care Unit.
As the post holder, you will have oversight and responsibility for your designated recovery team, working alongside an established and experienced Band 6 leadership group.
Our department comprises 15 theatres, including dedicated eye and elective orthopaedic units, delivering both planned and emergency surgical services. - Effective management of material resources

- Guiding colleagues in cost-effective working practices
- Driving evidence-based changes in clinical practice
- Sharing learning gained from courses or study days
- Performing extended clinical duties following appropriate training such as venepuncture, cannulation, and ECGs
- Strong communication within multidisciplinary teams
- Managing conflict and performance issues
- Delivering meaningful appraisals for junior staff
- Fostering a supportive learning environment for staff and students
- Acting as a patient advocate
- Contributing as an effective link practitioner when required
- Adherence to Trust and departmental policies
- Consistent promotion of patient dignity, safety, and high professional standards
