Recovery Worker

Location: Brighton & Hove

Salary: £28,426

This is an exciting opportunity to make real impact within an established, award-winning, innovative voluntary sector organisation.

Our client provides structured drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services for women, children and families affected by substance use.

About the Role

As a Recovery Worker, you will work within a specialist, trauma-informed, gender-responsive and child-centred service delivering structured interventions to support women and families to achieve positive and lasting change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with women and some men (via partnerships) impacted by substance use.
  • Conduct assessments, provide care coordination / key work to a caseload of clients on an individual basis (face to face and over the phone) and facilitation of groups.
  • Support women on your caseload experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol and working towards recovery. Support will range from guidance on harm minimisation, to support reducing substance use, to (in some cases) complete abstinence.
  • Agree and formulate individual care plans with the clients you support to ensure the promotion of choice and independence.
  • Close multi-agency working, participation in safeguarding processes, and the delivery of both individual and group-based interventions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
