Compensation: £ 24968.26 per annum (basic salary) plus £ 1066.65 per annum (recruitment and retention allowance)
Description
Recovery looks different for everyone. For some, it might mean feeling confident enough to attend an appointment independently. For others, it could be reconnecting with family, returning to work, managing their mental health more effectively or becoming part of their local community.
As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you'll support people to identify what's important to them and work alongside them to achieve their goals. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference while helping people build confidence, independence and a sense of purpose.
Working across the Great Yarmouth area, you'll provide practical and emotional support to people experiencing mental health challenges. You'll take a strengths-based approach, helping individuals recognise their abilities, overcome barriers and move forward in their recovery journey.
This is a varied role that combines one-to-one support, community-based work and partnership working with other services. You'll have the chance to make a lasting impact while developing meaningful relationships with the people you support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred support tailored to individual goals and aspirations.
- Build positive and professional relationships that promote trust and engagement.
- Support individuals to improve their independence and wellbeing.
- Assist people to access education, employment, volunteering and community opportunities.
- Encourage the development of everyday living skills and self-confidence.
- Work collaboratively to develop and review recovery plans, safety plans and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate and timely records.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, family members and other services where appropriate.
- Promote choice, dignity and independence in all aspects of support.

The role is based across the Great Yarmouth area, supporting individuals in their homes and within the local community.
You'll be joining a small, dedicated team that is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health support. As part of a close-knit service, you'll have the opportunity to build strong working relationships, contribute ideas and play an important role in shaping the support we provide.
We believe that good outcomes come from strong teamwork, and you'll be supported by experienced colleagues who genuinely care about both the people we support and each other.
While much of the role involves working independently in the community, you'll also benefit from regular team meetings, supervision and ongoing support.

You will be:

Experience in mental health, social care, housing, supported living, homelessness services, substance misuse services or community support would be advantageous, but we also welcome applications from people who can demonstrate relevant transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting others.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A full UK driving licence (mandatory)
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes (mandatory as you will be taking clients to appointments)
- A willingness to travel throughout the Great Yarmouth area
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota, where required
Mileage is paid at 55p per mile.
