Associate Recruitment Consultant
Meet Life Sciences | London | October start
Build a career in sales with uncapped commission and progression based on performance!
We’re looking for competitive, commercially driven people who want to build a career in recruitment sales.
This is a target-driven role where you’ll win new clients, develop business relationships and place candidates into jobs. Your day will involve outbound calls, prospecting, pitching our services, negotiating terms and closing deals.
Meet specialises in recruiting for Life Sciences companies. Your job will be selling recruitment services and managing hiring processes. A science degree or scientific background isn’t required; we’re interested in your motivation for sales, resilience and drive to succeed.
The role
You’ll learn to manage your own recruitment market, building a portfolio of clients and candidates. With training and coaching, you’ll take ownership of the full recruitment process, from winning business to securing placements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Winning new business: identify prospective clients, make cold calls and pitch Meet’s recruitment services.
- Building client relationships: speak with hiring managers, understand their recruitment needs and secure opportunities to work together.
- Developing your market: build a network, identify commercial opportunities and grow repeat business.
- Finding and engaging candidates: use outbound calls, LinkedIn, referrals and advertising to connect with suitable people.
- Negotiating and closing: negotiate recruitment fees, support salary discussions and manage offers through to acceptance.
- Working towards targets: meet clear activity, business development and revenue goals.
- Managing your pipeline: keep accurate records and follow up consistently with clients and candidates.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
