Experienced Recruitment Consultant – Private Client Tax
Are you an experienced recruiter looking to take ownership of a fast-growing Tax desk?
Ambition is a leading specialist recruiter within Tax, partnering with many of the UK's most respected tax firms and boutiques. Due to continued growth and client demand, we are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven consultant to join our London team and take national ownership of the Private Client Tax market.
The Opportunity
The desk will focus on Manager, Senior Manager and Director-level hires. We hold strong client relationships and numerous live vacancies, giving you the platform to build upon existing relationships across the UK and internationally, while creating new opportunities through your market presence, credibility and network.
This is a highly consultative, senior-level market where success is driven by relationships, reputation and deep market knowledge. You'll work closely with some of the most influential professionals and firms in the sector, becoming a trusted adviser to both candidates and clients.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and developing relationships within the Private Client Tax market.
- Building long-term relationships with Private Client Tax professionals and key hiring stakeholders.
- Developing a strong network of active and passive candidates.
- Acting as a trusted market expert and career adviser.
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from business development through to offer management and placement.
- Identifying new opportunities and driving growth across the desk.
- Representing Ambition within the tax community.
- Attending industry networking events, conferences and professional gatherings.
- Organising and hosting roundtables, networking forums and market insight events.

What We're Looking For
- A successful track record within recruitment or a Tax professional looking to pivot.
- Experience operating in a candidate-led, relationship-driven market.
- The ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including Senior Managers, Directors and Partners.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- A genuine passion for networking, building market connections and establishing long-term partnerships.
- Confidence to organise and lead roundtable discussions, networking forums and thought leadership events.
- The drive, pace and energy to take the desk to the next level.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Resilience, professionalism and a proactive yet relationship-driven approach.
