Corporate Finance

The Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business has extensive expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, and other related advisory services for a broad range of clients. In addition, we have the proven ability to engineer and execute financing solutions that are essential for growth and success and offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities.

We are seeking a Lateral Recruiter to join our Corporate Finance Recruitment team. Reporting to the Vice President - CF Recruitment EMEA, the hire will support on experienced hiring across EMEA and APAC locations, to deliver quality hires to our M&A teams.

In this role, you will manage the full-lifecycle recruitment process for experienced hires (Financial Analysts, Associates, Vice Presidents) across the firm. You will partner closely with senior business leaders to identify, attract, and hire top-tier talent in a highly competitive market.

The CF Recruitment team sits within the Office of the COO and therefore has significant exposure to a number of broader strategic and people-related topics – hence we are looking for a proactive and commercially-minded new team member to join us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Lifecycle Recruiting: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for lateral hires in the Corporate Finance group, from role scoping and sourcing to offer negotiation and closing.
  • Stakeholder Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers (typically MDs, Directors, VPs) understanding their strategic needs and providing market intelligence.
  • Proactive Sourcing: Build robust talent pipelines using direct sourcing channels (LinkedIn Recruiter, networking events, alumni networks). Strong use of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage direct applications. Additionally manages relationships with external search firms when necessary.
  • Process Management: Lead interview debriefs, aggregate feedback, and maintain accurate real-time data in the ATS (Workday).
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a seamless, high-touch experience for all candidates, coordinating efficiently with our Recruitment Coordinators for scheduling and logistics.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of recruitment experience, preferably within financial services, investment banking, or a top-tier executive search agency.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and closing passive, high-calibre candidates in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Good understanding of the investment banking landscape, particularly M&A and corporate finance functions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the credibility to influence and partner with bankers and teams across all levels.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple complex searches simultaneously.
  • Responsive and commercially minded.
  • 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required from a top university.
