The Role

Abstract Recruitment is looking for an experienced Onsite Account Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a large industrial recruitment contract, supporting approximately 100 agency colleagues.

This is a hands-on operational role requiring a strong background in onsite industrial recruitment/account management. You will act as the key point of contact between the client, agency workforce and Abstract Recruitment, ensuring excellent service delivery, workforce performance, compliance and fulfilment.

You will also have direct responsibility for managing and developing one Onsite Coordinator, ensuring the onsite operation is organised, responsive and consistently meeting client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of an industrial recruitment contract supplying approximately 100 agency colleagues.
  • Act as the primary onsite contact for the client, building strong relationships with operational and senior management teams.
  • Manage, support and develop one Onsite Coordinator, setting clear responsibilities and expectations.
  • Attend daily/weekly client meetings and provide updates on workforce performance, recruitment activity and operational challenges.
  • Manage daily headcount, attendance, absence, lateness and shift fulfilment.
  • Ensure all client bookings are filled accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Forecast recruitment requirements and maintain a strong pipeline of suitable candidates.
  • Coordinate recruitment campaigns, interviews, inductions and new starter onboarding.
  • Monitor colleague performance, productivity, conduct and attendance.
  • Conduct return-to-work meetings, investigations, performance discussions and other employee relations processes where required.
  • Manage colleague engagement and retention initiatives to reduce attrition.
  • Ensure agency colleagues receive clear information regarding shifts, expectations, site rules and performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to workers, compliance, training and assignments.
  • Ensure all workers remain fully compliant with right-to-work and contractual requirements.
  • Produce and present weekly KPI information covering areas including headcount, fulfilment, attendance, attrition, recruitment, new starters and leavers.
  • Identify trends and proactively implement improvements before they impact service delivery.
  • Work closely with Abstract Recruitment's wider operations, recruitment, payroll and compliance teams.
  • Ensure payroll and working-hour information is accurate and submitted within required deadlines.
  • Manage worker queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain a visible onsite presence and develop positive relationships with both the workforce and client.
  • Support continuous improvement and identify opportunities to add further value to the client account.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
