Recruitment Account Manager – Technology Engineering / Hardware / RF
London | Hybrid – 3 days per week
Up to £50,000 basic + commission on all placements
Realistic OTE £65,000–£70,000+
This is an opportunity for an experienced technical recruiter who enjoys building relationships, developing existing accounts and becoming genuinely embedded with clients – without the pressure of constantly chasing new business.
You’ll take ownership of a warm, busy desk with established client relationships and live requirements, recruiting highly technical professionals across Government, Defence and National Security environments.
The focus is very much on account management and account development. You’ll work closely with existing clients to understand their hiring plans, identify opportunities to expand relationships and increase recruitment activity across different teams and technical areas.
The role
You’ll recruit across specialist Technology and Engineering disciplines, with a particular focus on areas such as Hardware, Electronics, RF and associated technical skill sets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Alongside delivering against existing requirements, you’ll spend time with clients both remotely and on-site, building strong relationships with hiring managers and developing a deeper understanding of their recruitment challenges.
There is significant scope to grow the desk further and, as the account base expands, build and manage a team beneath you.
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally have experience recruiting within Technology, Engineering, Hardware, Electronics or RF, particularly within complex or highly technical markets.
Previous exposure to Government, Defence, National Security or SC/DV-cleared recruitment would be highly advantageous, although the key requirement is being comfortable recruiting specialist technical roles and managing demanding client relationships.
This could particularly suit someone who:

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
- Enjoys developing existing accounts but doesn’t enjoy cold new-business development.
- Is strong at building long-term relationships with clients and candidates.
- Wants ownership of an established desk rather than starting from scratch.
- Enjoys working on complex, niche and hard-to-fill technical requirements.
- Has the ambition to expand an account and potentially build a team around it.
Package
The basic salary is up to £50,000, with commission payable on all placements and realistic earnings of approximately £65,000–£70,000+.
The role is hybrid, with three days per week in the London office, alongside some client-site visits.
If you’re an experienced technical recruiter who enjoys the relationship-building and account-development side of recruitment, but would prefer to work with established clients and genuine hiring demand rather than spending your week cold calling for vacancies, this could be an excellent next step.
