University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Recruitment Administrator to join our Recruitment Team.
This is a great opportunity to develop valuable administration, customer service and digital skills whilst gaining practical experience in a busy NHS recruitment environment. You will receive ongoing support, training and mentoring throughout your apprenticeship programme, helping you build the knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career.
No previous recruitment experience is required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and excellent customer service skills.
What You'll Be Doing
Working as part of our friendly Recruitment Team, you will:
- Provide administrative support across the recruitment service.
- Respond to enquiries via telephone, email and Microsoft Teams.
- Support candidates, managers and colleagues throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain accurate records using recruitment systems and databases.
- Assist with filing, document management and digital record keeping.
- Use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Support team inbox management and help ensure enquiries are dealt with efficiently.
- Develop your understanding of NHS recruitment and workforce processes.
- Contribute ideas to improve administrative processes and digital ways of working.

What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and experiences. You will need:
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or Functional Skills Level 2).
- Basic keyboard and IT skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and flexible approach to work.
- The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to learning and completing the apprenticeship programme.
