Driver Hire London West are looking for their next team member – Recruitment Administrator
Company Location: Wembley
Pay: £13.00 per hour, paid weekly through standard PAYE
Hours: Monday to Friday, normally 08:00 to 17:00
Start date: Immediate start available
Transport: Applicants must have access to their own reliable transport.
Experience: Previous recruitment experience is not essential.
On call: A shared out-of-hours rota will apply after full training.
About The Role
Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (London West) are looking to recruit a Recruitment Administrator.
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to begin or develop a career in recruitment, administration or customer service.
You will join a busy local recruitment office and receive full training across candidate registration, vacancy advertising, telephone communication, compliance checks and general recruitment administration.
The role is varied and people-focused. One moment you may be speaking with someone looking for work, and the next you could be arranging an interview, updating a job advert or helping the team fill an urgent vacancy.
The position is currently based in Wembley.
Duties
- Support the team throughout the recruitment process
- Answer inbound calls from candidates and clients
- Make regular outbound calls to candidates
- Interview candidates and discuss their experience and availability
- Explain registration and application procedures
- Arrange candidate interviews and confirm availability
- Advertise vacancies on job boards and social media
- Complete driving licence checks and request employment references
- Maintain accurate candidate and client information
- Update the recruitment database and internal systems
- Handle personal information in line with GDPR requirements
- Review CVs and identify suitable candidates for available roles
- Reconnect with previously registered candidates
- Build professional relationships with candidates and clients
- Attend job fairs, careers events and local recruitment activities
- Contribute ideas for attracting and engaging candidates
- Complete general office and administrative duties
- Join the shared out-of-hours on-call rota after completing sufficient training

What We Are Looking For
Essential
- Confident and professional communication skills
- A comfortable telephone manner
- Confidence making regular outbound calls
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Good written and spoken English
- The ability to review and improve CVs
- A proactive approach to work
- A genuine interest in helping people and solving problems
- Access to your own reliable transport
Desirable
- Previous experience in administration, customer service or telephone-based work
- Confidence using social media platforms
- Experience creating or publishing social media content
- An interest in recruitment, logistics or business administration
- Previous recruitment experience is not required. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Pay and Hours
The starting rate is £13.00 per hour, paid weekly through standard PAYE.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, with a 60-minute lunch break. This provides 40 working hours each week.
Reduced hours may be considered for the right candidate. The schedule could include working from 09:30 to 15:00 or another agreed working pattern.
The hourly rate will be reviewed and increased following successful completion of the first 12 months.
After completing sufficient training, you will be expected to take part in the shared out-of-hours on-call rota. This duty will not be required immediately.
