Are you highly organised, people-focused, and passionate about making a difference to children's lives?
We're looking for a Fostering Administrator to play a key role in supporting the recruitment of foster carers. As the first point of contact for prospective carers, you'll help guide applicants through their fostering journey, ensuring they receive a professional, supportive, and positive experience from initial enquiry through to fostering panel.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with foster carer applicants and the wider assessment team, keeping the recruitment process moving smoothly through excellent administration, coordination, and communication.
This is a Hybrid role with an expectation of 2 to 3 days a week in our Birmingham office.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting Foster Carer Recruitment
- Acting as the main point of contact for prospective foster carers throughout their application journey.
- Providing a warm, professional, and responsive service from initial enquiry through to panel.
- Chasing outstanding documentation and supporting applicants to progress through the assessment process.

Assessment & Panel Administration
- Managing the administration of foster carer assessments, including paperwork, references, and statutory checks.
- Preparing accurate and compliant documentation for fostering panels.
- Monitoring the progress of assessments, identifying potential delays, and escalating issues where necessary.
- Working closely with the Panel and Assessment Manager and wider team to ensure applications remain on track.
Compliance & Record Keeping
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records across digital systems.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with safeguarding requirements, GDPR, and organisational procedures.
- Contributing positively to team meetings and supporting continuous improvement within the service.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent organisational skills and can manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Is a confident communicator with a warm and professional approach.
- Has strong administrative skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Enjoys delivering excellent customer service and building positive relationships.
- Can work independently, take ownership of their workload, and use initiative.
- Works collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
- Is confident using digital systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Has knowledge of fostering or children's services (desirable but not essential).
