The Role
Driver Hire Norwich are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused Administrator to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our busy recruitment business. This is a varied position combining accounts administration, credit control, compliance, recruitment support and office administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership of important business processes.
We’re a busy, social and lively office, and definitely not the sort of place where you’ll be sitting quietly in the corner! We work hard, but we have plenty of fun along the way, and there’s always a bit of banter (and usually a dog) around the office.🐶
Key Responsibilities
- Managing credit control, including monitoring outstanding invoices and following up overdue payments
- Maintaining accurate financial, compliance and administrative records in line with internal procedures and external audit requirements
- Liaising with external auditors when applicable, providing relevant information and documentation as required
- Managing compliance administration, ensuring relevant documentation and records are kept up to date
- Supporting the recruitment team with candidate and client administration, including regular communication with clients and candidates
- General office administration and maintaining an organised filing system
- Dealing with emails, telephone calls, and general queries
- Assisting with reporting and other administrative tasks as required
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure processes are completed accurately and efficiently

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
