About the Role
We're looking for an experienced recruiter to take ownership of our end-to-end hiring process and help us attract the best talent into Kiddie Capers Childcare. Working closely with hiring managers across the business, you'll manage vacancies from brief to offer, build strong talent pipelines and find innovative ways to reach candidates in a competitive market.
No two days are the same in childcare recruitment, so we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving recruitment challenges, and is passionate about delivering an outstanding candidate experience.
The role is based at our Support Hub Office in between Hurstpierpoint and Burgess Hill.
Hours:
32 hours over 4 days
£33,000 FTE (£26,400 on 32 hours per week)

Kiddie Capers Childcare are a growing Nurseries & Preschool company operating multiple nurseries in the Sussex area. We are owned and operated by two local families. Key Responsibilities
- Manage an effective end-to-end recruitment process, meeting the agreed SLA’s, using the ATS (currently Hi-Bob) to manage vacancies and candidates
- Ensure all Kiddie Capers Childcare candidates receive a great experience throughout the recruitment process with regular communication and updates
- Create and place job adverts on relevant job boards, social media and other advertising avenues to attract candidates
- Work with managers to create and update job descriptions where required
- Ensure all advertising activity is managed within set budgets to achieve maximum value and exposure
- Advertise roles internally using the HRIS/ATS
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pool to fill our roles, including proactive candidate searching
- Review and short-list applicants and hold 1st stage telephone screening interviews
- Arrange 2nd stage interviews on site and support managers with interview templates and guidance when required. Attend site to provide cover during the 2nd stage interview when there is a staffing need, allowing the manager to carry out the interview
- Manage the offer process which includes obtaining approvals and making both verbal and written offers
- Develop and maintain relationships with local colleges, job centres and community projects, attending events when relevant and beneficial
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards, ensuring we receive best value and service for budget spent
- Look for continuous improvements to our recruitment methods, processes, documents and communications
- Undertake regular research on other childcare provider benefits and rates of pay, to feed into the wider Company competitor analysis
- Any other recruitment activities required by Kiddie Capers Childcare
- Coordinate the employee onboarding process, to include issuing contracts/docs
- Complete DBS checks for new employees, promoting the sign-up service and keeping managers up to date with DBS status
- Ensure right to work checks have been completed by sites and ID is stored on HRIS
