About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Recruitment Advisor to join our growing business and support recruitment activity across the UK and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity for a recruitment professional who enjoys managing multiple vacancies, building strong relationships with hiring managers, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience. Working closely with the Group Director – Business Services, you will play a key role in attracting, assessing and securing high-quality talent across a variety of functions and levels within the organisation.

You'll be responsible for supporting recruitment campaigns from initial briefing through to offer stage, ensuring hiring managers receive expert support and candidates experience a professional and engaging recruitment process.

What You'll Be Doing

Recruitment Delivery

  • Support multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously across a range of business functions.
  • Work closely with the Group Director and hiring managers to understand role requirements and recruitment priorities.
  • Create engaging job adverts, job descriptions and candidate attraction materials.
  • Advertise vacancies across job boards, social media and other recruitment channels.
  • With the Group Director develop sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates for both specialist and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Support recruitment across the UK and European markets.

Candidate Attraction & Assessment

  • Source candidates through direct search, networking, referrals and recruitment platforms.
  • Review applications, shortlist candidates and assess suitability against role requirements.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews and candidate assessments.
  • Provide recommendations and recruitment insights to hiring managers.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Act as a trusted recruitment partner, providing advice and guidance on best practice recruitment.
  • Provide regular vacancy updates and recruitment progress reports to the Group Director.

Recruitment Administration & Reporting

  • Coordinate interviews and candidate communications.
  • Maintain recruitment records, trackers and applicant management systems and produce reports.
  • Prepare offer documentation and support onboarding activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve attraction and hiring outcomes.

Who You Are

We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisation and administration skills with a passion for recruitment and talent acquisition.

You are an engaging, commercially minded recruitment professional who thrives on building relationships and creating exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences. As one of the key ambassadors for the business, you will be comfortable representing The Torrington Group both internally and externally, building strong networks within the industry and promoting our brand, culture and career opportunities to attract high-calibre talent.

With a strong proactive and initiative mindset, you have a natural ability to identify potential, assess capability and make informed hiring recommendations with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, challenge constructively where appropriate and provide expert guidance throughout the recruitment process.

Highly organised and proactive, you can manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail and consistently delivering a first-class service. Most importantly, you are passionate about connecting great people with great opportunities and can effectively "sell" both the role and the wider business, ensuring candidates leave every interaction with a positive impression of The Torrington Group, regardless of the outcome.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience managing recruitment within an in-house environment.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple functions and disciplines.
  • Strong candidate screening and interviewing skills.
  • Experience managing multiple vacancies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience writing job adverts and sourcing candidates through a variety of channels.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Strong reporting and analytical capabilities.
  • Knowledge of UK recruitment legislation and best practice.

Desirable

  • Experience recruiting across both UK and European markets.
  • Experience within an SME or growing business environment.
  • Understanding of employer branding and talent attraction strategies.
