What is the role?

We are seeking a Recruitment Analyst to support the Men’s First Team player identification and recruitment across Southampton, Valenciennes and Sport Republic through video scouting, data, player reporting and recruitment dossiers.

What will you be doing?

As part of a multidisciplinary recruitment team, you will take a proactive and innovative approach to your work, communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across the club. You will support the production of high-quality player videos and dossiers on recommended recruitment targets, ensuring all outputs align with departmental processes and standards.

  • You will analyse match footage using the club's position-specific criteria.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of an extensive video library of players of interest.
  • Maintain and update databases that are critical to the player identification process.
  • Develop your ability to combine data, video and contextual information to support informed recruitment decisions.

The successful candidate will provide live and video scouting coverage across assigned leagues and players, producing detailed scouting reports and creating engaging video packages on recruitment targets. You will play an active part in the club's recruitment process, attending recruitment meetings when required and recommending players for further assessment by external scouts and senior recruitment staff.

Working closely with the Recruitment Data Analyst, you will help develop statistical comparisons between existing squad members and prospective recruitment targets. You will also coordinate recruitment analysis assignments for interns, supporting their development while ensuring high standards of work are maintained.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
