About Apprenticeship Central
Apprenticeship Central is a growing automotive apprenticeship business helping employers attract, recruit and retain the next generation of their workforce.
We work with some of the UK's leading bodyshop groups, automotive businesses and industry partners, helping them tackle one of the sector's biggest challenges – finding and keeping great people.
We're a young business with ambitious growth plans, an established customer base and long-term programmes already in place. We're now building a team of people who want to take ownership, bring ideas and have a genuine influence on where the business goes next.
The Role
We're looking for someone to own and grow RECRUIT, our established apprentice recruitment service.
This is a hands-on commercial role combining recruitment, client relationships and business development. You'll manage the recruitment journey, build strong relationships that generate repeat business and proactively create new opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll have the autonomy to shape how RECRUIT develops, bring your own ideas and make the role your own as the business grows.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own RECRUIT and its performance
- Manage the recruitment journey from employer requirement through to successful apprentice start
- Build strong customer relationships and understand future recruitment plans
- Generate repeat business and grow existing accounts
- Convert inbound enquiries and warm opportunities into customers
- Proactively develop new employer relationships and win business
- Attract, screen and shortlist high-quality apprentice candidates
- Manage your recruitment and sales pipeline against clear targets
- Work with the Commercial Director on larger customers and opportunities
- Represent Apprenticeship Central at customer meetings, networking and industry events
About You
You may already work in recruitment, account management or business development or have experience that crosses more than one. You don't need experience in apprenticeships or automotive. We'll teach you that.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is naturally good at building relationships and earning people's trust
- Is commercially minded and comfortable asking for business
- Enjoys both winning work and delivering what they've sold
- Takes ownership and follows things through
- Is confident speaking to business owners and senior decision-makers
- Enjoys working towards targets and being rewarded for strong performance
- Brings ideas and looks for ways to do things better
- Wants to be part of building something, rather than simply stepping into a defined job

Why Join Us?
This is a chance to join Apprenticeship Central at a genuinely exciting stage of our growth.
You'll inherit an established service and customer base, but there is significant opportunity to make it bigger. We want you to bring your own ideas, develop your own relationships and ultimately be able to look at the growth of RECRUIT and know you built that.
As we grow, there will be opportunities for the role to grow too. We're much more interested in finding someone who wants to develop with the business than someone who simply wants their next job.
£32,500 basic salary with realistic OTE of £38,500 based on achieving agreed performance targets. Additional earning potential is available for exceeding target.
