Recruitment and Compliance Administrator
About Cameron Kennedy
Cameron Kennedy is a London-based recruitment and staffing firm placing temporary and permanent candidates with local authorities and NHS organisations across finance, IT, housing, social care, building control, and administrative functions. Our public sector work is held to a high standard of compliance, and we take that responsibility seriously.
The Role
We are looking for an organised, detail-driven Recruitment and Compliance Administrator to support our public sector team. You will keep candidate compliance records accurate and audit-ready, support consultants with onboarding, and help make sure every placement meets client and regulatory requirements before a candidate starts work.
This role suits someone who is meticulous about process, comfortable handling sensitive personal information, and keen to build a career in recruitment operations or compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance and vetting
- Process right to work and identity checks, including digital ID verification through Credas, and keep records that stand up to audit
- Coordinate enhanced DBS checks and overseas police certificates, particularly for roles involving children and vulnerable adults, such as school cleaning placements
- Track expiry dates for certificates, references, and mandatory training, and chase outstanding items before they affect a start date
- Ensure video identity checks are recorded and filed in line with our compliance procedures
- Support the maintenance and updating of our public sector compliance handbook

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
