We are passionate about improving the mental health, wellbeing and life opportunities of the children and young people we support. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an organised, confident and proactive Recruitment & HR Administrator to join our HR team.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives on organisation, and wants to play a key role in helping us recruit and retain exceptional colleagues.
This is a recruitment-focused HR administration role. You will act as the first point of contact for applicants, conduct initial screening calls, coordinate interviews, liaise with hiring managers and members of the Senior Leadership Team, and ensure an outstanding candidate experience from application through to onboarding.
Alongside recruitment responsibilities, you will support onboarding and offboarding processes, maintain compliance records including the Single Central Register (SCR), and ensure recruitment and HR trackers remain accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Act as the first point of contact for job applicants.
- Review applications and conduct initial candidate screening calls.
- Assess candidate suitability and support progression through the recruitment process.
- Coordinate interviews with candidates and members of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Support internal recruitment and promotion processes, ensuring a positive candidate experience for existing employees.
- Prepare offer letters and recruitment documentation.
- Maintain recruitment trackers and vacancy pipelines.
- Ensure recruitment activity progresses within agreed timescales and service standards.
- Support hiring managers with drafting and posting job advertisements.

Onboarding, Offboarding & Compliance
- Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new starters.
- Conduct and monitor pre-employment checks.
- Prepare employment documentation and onboarding packs.
- Maintain and update the Single Central Register (SCR).
- Ensure employee records and compliance documentation remain accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate employee offboarding processes.
- Maintain onboarding and offboarding trackers.
- Arrange the collection and return of company equipment where required.
HR Administration
- Maintain HR systems, databases and records.
- Produce recruitment and HR reports.
- Respond to routine HR enquiries.
- Assist with maintaining training and compliance records.
- Support HR projects and wider administrative activities as required.
About You
Essential
- Experience within recruitment administration, HR administration or a similar people-focused role.
- Experience coordinating multiple recruitment vacancies.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence communicating with applicants, employees, managers and senior leaders.
- Strong telephone skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Experience maintaining trackers, databases and employee records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to safeguarding and safer recruitment practices.
Desirable
- Experience working within education, social care or a safeguarding-focused environment.
- Knowledge of safer recruitment processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience maintaining a Single Central Register (SCR).
- Experience using HRIS or applicant tracking systems.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards a HR qualification.
