Recruitment & People Operations Executive
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £50,000 p.a.

As we continue to scale, we're looking for a Recruitment & People Operations Executive who loves creating exceptional experiences for both candidates and employees.
You'll play a key role in helping us attract brilliant people while ensuring the operational side of the employee lifecycle runs smoothly.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and wants exposure across the entire People function with the opportunity to move into a People partnering role over the next 3-6 months.
The Role
You'll support KareHero across two key areas:
Talent Acquisition
- Helping us find and hire exceptional people quickly and efficiently
People Operations
- Ensuring our people processes are efficient, organised and provide a brilliant employee experience from offer through to offboarding.
- No two days will look the same.
What You'll Be Doing
Recruitment
- Own end-to-end recruitment for junior to mid-level roles.
- Source candidates across LinkedIn, referrals and direct outreach.
- Conduct initial screening interviews.
- Coordinate interview processes.
- Partner with hiring managers to deliver a great recruitment experience.
- Maintain our applicant tracking and recruitment data.
- Build talent pipelines for future hiring.
- Support employer branding initiatives.

Onboarding
- Coordinate onboarding for all new starters.
- Prepare contracts and offer documentation.
- Ensure equipment, system access and induction plans are in place.
- Deliver a smooth onboarding experience from acceptance to Day One.
People Operations
- Support monthly payroll preparation by collating payroll changes.
- Maintain employee records and HR systems.
- Manage probation review administration.
- Assist with performance review cycles.
- Support policy implementation.
- Prepare employment documentation including promotions, salary changes and contract amendments.
- Coordinate offboarding processes.
- Maintain the company asset register.
- Support audits and compliance activities.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in recruitment, HR administration or People Operations.
- Loves creating organised, scalable processes.
- Has exceptional attention to detail.
- Enjoys speaking with people and building relationships.
- Is proactive and follows through.
- Can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Is confident working independently.
- Is comfortable in a fast-moving startup.

- Experience working in a startup or scaling technology business.
- Experience with payroll administration.
- Experience using HRIS and ATS platforms.
- Understanding of UK employment legislation.
Success Looks Like
Within six months you will have:
Recruitment
- Successfully managed multiple hiring processes bringing all recruitment in-house
- Reduced administrative burden on hiring managers
- Delivered an exceptional candidate experience
People Operations
- Built smooth onboarding and offboarding processes
- Ensured payroll changes are accurate and submitted on time
- Maintained accurate people records
- Supported probation and performance review cycles
- Improved operational efficiency across the People function
Application process
Stage 1 - Apply with your CV
Stage 2 - Screening call (over Google meet) with Richa, our People and Talent Lead - 35-40’. This will be an opportunity to get to know each other better.
Stage 3 - (Likely task-based) Interview with a member of the extended leadership team - 60’. We will assess your job-related skills.
Stage 4 - In-person interview with Stephanie Leung, our founder and CEO covering values - 60’
